The O Quiz

My mom gave me a page out of her Oprah magazine with questions from Oprah’s O quiz. Today, I wanted to fill out the quiz in my journal and share my responses with you. Feel free to answer these questions too, I would love to see your responses!

What’s your no-fail, go-for-it motivational song?

“Love It If We Made It” by The 1975, a true jam

What’s most important for your mental health?

Balance, finding a balance between everything, and doing little things each day that I enjoy that re-center me.

What is the physical challenge that scares you most?

Learning how to surf, I love the ocean but it also scares me if I think about it too much but I am also faced with the desire to learn how to surf.

What’s the mystery that you’d most love to solve?

How much are we really defined by astrology/astrology alignments? Were we destined to like what we like/be who we are now or does that develop over time and by outside forces?

Who’s your hero?

I am inspired by so many things and people, but my hero is my mom who has proven to me that you can be a badass in the workforce and as a mom, who is everything I want to be as a woman.

If you could send a note to yourself in 2030, what would it say?

Remember that it’s okay if everything doesn’t go as planned, you are where you need to be and you will get where you belong.

What makes you laugh?

A lot: stand-up, silly animals, my dad, stupid puns/humor, anything remotely funny.

What makes you cry?

A lot: movies without a happy ending, heartbreak, animal rescues, Vampire Diaries, Rory Gilmore’s graduation, anything that pulls on my heart.

What gives you hope?

The hope that the future holds even more progress and change from what we are facing now. And the drive from my generation/youth who want to see change.

What’s your favorite place on earth?

The beach, Cinque Terre, Paris, the Big Island, my Pinterest feed, someone’s arms who gives really good cuddles and hugs.

Fill in the bank:__________ is underrated?

Community (the TV show) I rarely hear about it and it’s one of my favorite shows.

What would you love to invent?

A de-polutionizer: a device that eliminated pollution and waste from the ocean and other areas that face a lot of pollution.

When in your life have you needed courage?

The time I was first diagnosed with anxiety. It took a lot to stand up to it and get better and more in control.

What movie could you watch on an endless loop?

Singin in the Rain or Dirty Dancing.

If you could choose any magical power, what would it be?

The power of a wand would be cool, I could cast a spell for pretty much anything (A Harry Potter or Wizards of Waverly Place type vibe) and I’d feel pretty cool tucking it in my boot.

If you were creating a time capsule to be opened in 100 years, what would you put inside?

My planners, journals, and memory boxes.

What is your pettiest pet peeve?

When people wear band tees and have no idea who the band is and don’t actually listen to the band… It’s annoying when you think someone has a similar taste in music as you but turns out they just thought the shirt was cute.

How do you define “soul mate”?

I don’t quite know yet. Someone who fits you perfectly and makes you feel poetically in love. Ask me when I’ve met them, after-all I believe we don’t just have one soul mate. There are way too many people in this world to have just one.
