LGAS S. 1 E. 5: Ways to Explore Your Spirituality

Listen to the episode here:

A part of this website is something I call “hippie stuff” where I talk about and explore various “hippie things” which are defined by parts of my spirituality (LOA, astrology, crystals, meditation, etc). In this case, I define my spirituality by my belief in a higher power (for me that is the universe). In the past two years or so I have really honed in on establishing myself spiritually and today I am going to talk about how you can do that.

*Please note that I am in no way trying to tell you want to believe or how you should believe or how you should live. I am simply here to give guidance for those trying to start on the path of this form of spirituality/voodoo stuff (haha)*

There are so many ways to go about this and there are so many things you can learn. First things first, here are a few things you should know before we get started.

  1. There is a never-ending scape of knowledge about this kind of stuff and there is so much to learn. You can dive in as deep as you want and take out what you wish.
  2. There is no right or wrong way to do any of this. It is your journey and you can apply and practice what you wish into your life. Like I said before, there is so much knowledge out there and you can use what you know to best formulate how you want to incorporate these things in your life.
  3. It can be overwhelming at first, but just stick with it and it will come to you. Some elements may not be for you, and that’s okay.

I see this form of spirituality as a large part of self-discovery. The cool part about this is you get to learn about yourself and really maintain a strong connection with yourself, which can be really good for your mental health and well-being.

So how do you get there? Start with research. I have a Pinterest board with a lot of my spiritual learning and things that I use to refer back to when I need clarification or if I want to try and understand more. There is A LOT of information so having a place where you can store any information may be helpful. I also have a notebook designated for manifesting, gratitude, and notes on other parts of me (such as my horoscope, the meaning of my angel numbers, my enneagram, etc.). I am not going to go into a lot of detail on the specifics but I do have plans to talk about how I specifically learned and what I learned about the things I have mentioned at a later time. I also have a folder with ALL of the websites I have used for research. Save everything because it becomes helpful when you need to look back.

Watch Youtube videos on the desired part of spirituality. I know there are so many YouTubers you talk about the Law of Attraction and astrology, but you can find it on literally everything such as meditation, yoga, chakras, and so much more. They act as guidance for how you can apply the various elements you are looking in to for your life.

Make your practice into a habit. Things like the LOA and finding balance through chakras and meditation are not effective if you utilize them selectively. The more you practice and the more you apply these things to your life, the more effective they will be, and the bigger the impact they will make on your life. Once you turn these things into a habit, they will become instinctual and a natural occurrence in your life.

Talk to people who are on the same path as you are. Talking to people allows you to learn more about the topic, but it also allows you to be exposed to more of what the topic has to offer. There is a rise in crystal shops/natural healing shops and they do not just sell crystals. They probably have essential oils, information about meditation, reiki, and other things along those lines. The people who run these shops can probably help you and give you more information about your topic of interest, take advantage of that.

Lastly, document your time. As time goes on and as you make your practices a habit, you will start to see changes whether that is in your attitude, how you interact with other people, how connected you are with yourself, or whether you feel more at ease or balanced. Take note of those changes and things you are trying. It is so cool to look back and see all of the changes you have made in your life.

I hope this gets you started on your natural healing/spiritual journey. I am so excited to dive into more of these topics with you guys. If you have any other tips for other readers, let us know in the comments or message me. Don’t forget to stay vibin!
